The elegant architecture of St. Luke’s, the Museums 19th century listed building and former home of prominent North East artist, Sir George Reid, together with the picturesque walled gardens, offer a truly stunning location for your special day.

The Gordon Highlanders Museum is the ideal venue for your wedding ceremony and recpetion. With impressive rooms and exceptional cuisine to choose from, the Museum will make your wedding day a day to remember.

OUR FUNCTION ROOMS

The Gordon Highlanders Museum is the ideal venue for your wedding ceremony and reception. With impressive rooms and exceptional cuisine to choose from the Museum will make your wedding a day to remember.

The Sir Jack Hayward Room

The Sir Jack Hayward Room is our largest wedding venue which can hold both your ceremony and reception. Striking portraits of great Gordon Highlanders, original Regimental Silver and a beautiful arched window create and outstanding atmosphere.

The Sir Jack Hayward Room can comfortably accommodate up to 60 guests.

 

The Lakin Room

The wedding party will delight in the truly unique experience of The Lakin Room, our smaller wedding reception venue.

The original Officers’ Mess, it is dressed with the finest Regimental silver, crystal and crockery and is set against a backdrop of the hugely symbolic Regimental Colours.

The Lakin Room can accomodate between 8 – 14 guests

The Hamilton Room

The Hamilton Room is the former drawing room of St. Luke’s and houses our impressive annual exhibition.

The original fireplace provides a focal point for the ceremony whilst the charming Baltic Pine staircase and stained glass windows adjacent to the room offer a perfect setting for photographs.

The Hamilton Room can comofrtably accomodate 25 guests

The Museum Gardens

The beautiful Museum gardens can also be used as an alternative venue for your wedding ceremony and naturally lend themselves as a picturesque setting for your photographs.
